MEET THE AUTHORS:
Rolando: Rolando is currently a History and Sociology Major at SJC-JC. He aspires to become an Official of the United Nation like his mother; who is a vital aspect of his life and success. He enjoys reading, photography (he took most of the pictures on our trip to Hopkins) travelling, meeting new people and watching documentaries…just to mention a few. In addition, he is really passionate about learning the history and traditions of other cultures, especially the Garifuna, his all-time favorite. He admires literally everything about the Garinagu people and their culture.
He lives by the quote, “It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.”

Zair: Zair is 17 years old, born, raised and currently reside in Orange Walk Town in northern Belize. He is a very tranquil but yet active person. His favourite sport is football, on the field is where he could show my passion and determination to be a winner. He lives by the saying, “Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner”. He aspires to be a Real Estate Agent.
Rudy: Rudy is a 19 year old student currently attending SJCJC. His majors are Literature and History, which he plans to use in becoming a lawyer. He was born and raised in San Pedro, a town which he loves for its beauty. He enjoys fishing and watching football in his spare time.
Syon: Syon is a History and Literature major at SJCJC. He is currently unsure about what he wants to do in the future, but he is very interested in archaeology and paleontology. His hobbies include watching and playing basketball, watching movies and playing video games. He believes that history would be more valuable to people if everyone took the time to learn lessons from it.
